Special Deliveries

It has been over 2 weeks since the earthquake that devastated Haiti’s southern peninsula, and the need for supplies have been great. There have been reports of many coming to help in Les Cayes to make sure people have what they need, but it is quite difficult to get provisions to the wide-spread rural areas that are also recovering from major damage.

Our team in Haiti has been busy traveling to our partner communities to assess damage, encourage those suffering, and (thankfully!) getting them much-needed supplies.

We have been working with Partners in Progress to obtain food grown by their farmers in the northern part of Haiti. They were able to provide us with 250 kits for our communities so far. Each kit has corn, rice, beans, peanut butter and some money. They also provided seeds for planting, jackbeans, and velvet beans along with the kits.

Currently, our team is in Plain Matin to distribute the kits.
