Bassin Caiman School Repairs

Your gifts helped to repair the school building in Bassin Caiman!

Our partners in Bassin Caiman have been working this summer to repair the school for the coming year. Water damage in a corner of the school deteriorated the open air corridor on the second floor of the school building, making entrance into one classroom unsafe and closing the classroom beneath it in case it started to crumble.

Local laborers were able to complete the structural repairs so that the students and teachers can safely use those two classrooms in the coming year. You can see in the photos below that the concrete is hand-mixed and taken to the second story up a ladder by “bucket brigade”.

Thank you for investing in schools in rural Haiti!
