Meet Enock Sanon
Enock Sanon joined Haiti H2O in January to support our staff in Haiti and the projects in our partner communities. Enock grew up in Haiti and came to the U.S. to study at Geneva College. There he met his wife, Elizabeth Jabco, who had traveled with Haiti H2O on a trip to St. Martin. Enock then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development at Eastern University, near Philadelphia. He now works (full-time) and lives in Delaware with his wife and two children. We are excited to welcome Enock as a part-time consultant to facilitate communication with our partners in Haiti and to provide oversight to our projects, ensuring their long-term viability.

Where did you grow up in Haiti?
I grew up in the city of Gonaives, which is located two hours north of Port au Prince and is the city of independence.
How did you come to know about Haiti H2O?
I first learned about Haiti H2O in 2012 when my (now) wife was working on a cookbook project to support microfinancing in Plain Matin. I contributed the Soup Joumou recipe and wrote the story of the Haitian Flag.
With so many nonprofits working in Haiti, why did you choose to work with Haiti H2O?
I really appreciate Haiti H2O’s deep commitment to understanding and supporting the hopes and desires of the community with a gospel-centered approach.
What are your hopes in working as the Sustainable Projects Manager?
My hope is to work closely with our partner communities in Haiti to assess their current needs and hopes for their communities, and to support ongoing and new projects to help them meet their goals.
Anything you would like people to know about you?
In my spare time, I like to watch “Diners Drive-ins and Dives” and try new recipes.
