Invest in Community Goals

We send resources from the U.S. to invest in projects that are prioritized by local leaders

Since 2006, Haiti H2O has been investing in Haitian-led solutions for remote villages through construction, agriculture, healthcare, and micro-business projects.

Haiti H2O: Hope to Opportunity partners with local leaders in rural Haiti, investing in Haitian-led solutions for remote villages through construction, agriculture, healthcare, and micro-business projects.

Haiti H2O’s founders began introducing people to Southern Haiti more than twenty years ago. Our supporters in the U.S. have established strong relationships with our Haitian partners over the years and have even traveled to Haiti to work on projects together. However, our main goal is to empower Haitians to accomplish their goals for their communities.

We affirm the dignity of local Haitians by listening to and following community leaders’ recommendations. Their priorities give our staff direction in how to invest resources to build on local strengths. These partnerships have produced three churches, three schools, five composting toilets, a bread oven business, a local corn grinder, mobile medical clinics, nine homes and an ongoing livestock exchange program.

“Everybody on earth can and should enjoy the basic standards of nutrition, health, water and sanitation, shelter, and other minimum needs for survival, well-being, and participation in society.”

—Jeffrey Sachs, The End of Poverty
